Soooo well-written, Beth! Very relatable. Just yesterday I put a credit card in the wrong slot and briefly panicked until, seconds later, found it behind my driver’s license. Of course, I would never lose my license itself. Mmm hmm.
I appreciate how you empathized. Of course you would never chide or even offer advice to someone who was distraught over losing something. One just needs empathy and kindness in those situations, and that’s one of the things that makes you a good friend.
Thank you for sharing your writing, Beth. Reading it is very enjoyable.
Oh how I can relate! An hour ago I was at the store. Picked up a container and placed it in my cart. I proceeded to check out, noticed the container had no lid, went to exchange it for one with a lid. I returned to continue checking out. It was time to pay. Where’s my phone? I JUST had it! Luckily I only had to retrace my steps back to the container I had just replaced. I had set my phone down on a shelf when I picked up the new container. I’m pretty sure I even said to myself, “Don’t set that in the shelf or you’ll forget it.” Yeah, I can relate almost on a daily basis. By the way, was that black charging cord you texted us a picture of the one that goes to your toothbrush? Hope you find everything!

Of COURSE you wouldn't. 🤣 and thank you for the compliment.
SpongeBob lost his ID once.
I’m certainly in good company then!

I'm so glad it was still there! Different cord ;)
This happens with my phone and my keys. I feel your frustration!
The worst!
I am with you. I care. I go through this same kind of thing almost daily…it is exhausting. Beautifully written. I’ll come back to it again today🫶🏼
Thanks, Donna!
I appreciate the reminder of extending yourself the same kindness and understanding as you would to a friend. ❤️
Sometimes we forget, don’t we?
